Production Supervisor


 The Production Supervisor, leads production team, coordinates with all departments to ensure the successful completion of production job orders.

Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions:

  • Supervise production team, consists of manufacturing technicians and test technicians, to ensure fulfillment of System Orders, Upgrade Orders, and other Job Orders with on-time delivery and necessary resources.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
  • Create and lead training program for the production team
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on MFG floor.
  • Organizing, monitoring, reporting and prioritizing job orders to meet production goals
  • Ensure production output meets quality standards. Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve production related issues, such as: Non-conformance investigation and rework.
  • Interfaces and coordinates tasks and personnel from all internal departments as well as external vendors and suppliers to support production orders.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Travel requirement: less than 25%

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Operations Management or Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of experience is required, preferably in capital equipment manufacturing environment.

 Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in supervisory role
  • Project management skills including ability to work with outside vendors and working cross functionally with other engineering disciplines
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and emphasis on excellence in innovation
  • Ability and willingness to travel

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:                                                                                                          

Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Expected Hours of work:

Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as assigned by supervisor.  This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
